Your drive then takes you through farming areas and
forest parks and a stop is made to walk through the
forest where vegetation, flora and monkeys can be seen.
A refreshment stop is made at Yuna village, where you
visit the palm wine tappers "uncle johns."
The palm wine "sum sum" a brand wine is served
and demonstration is made of how both wines are made
and done.
Tanje Village Museum is your next stop, which is a
unique place where the natural history and traditional
culture of the Gambia is presented in an interesting
and accessible way to tourists, Gambians, local inhabitants
and school groups.
On route you also visit Sanyang Primary School, a stopover
to see how education in Gambian Villages is teached
and developed.
We then proceed to the beach for lunch where you can
relax soak up some of the sun and have a swim for a
couple of hours until around 16:00 HRS.
