This is and exclusive and quality day on a 60ft modern Gambian styled pirogue.
Departing from your hotel we head towards Banjul, where you will join your boat. Departing from Oyster Creek we travel up the main estuary to the River Gambia taking in the tributaries as we sail. The invaluable experience of the Captain always ensures the calmest possible waters, whilst being served with morning coffee.
This very scenic route will enable you to take in some of the many species of bird and river life whilst soaking up the calm and relaxing atmosphere that this cruise offers. For the keen bird-spotter, binoculars and bird books are readily available.
Lunch will be a ‘Buffet’ of superb standard and quality. You will have the opportunity of swimming, sunbathing or fishing during the afternoon period.
Afternoon tea and biscuits will be served whilst returning along the sun-drenched creeks, where your transport back to your respective hotels awaits.

Gambian Home Cooking centre will give you the opportunity to spend the day in true Gambian style and learn how to cook a typical Gambian meal. After a short drive we will arrive at the “Ya Boye” home cooking centre were our host will welcome us and gives us a short orientation of the program of the day. A short drive later on will take us to Tanji Market were we collect our local products which we will use for our dish of the day, from the market we return back to the centre to take part in the making of the food from stage to stage.

I would like to thank Gambia Tours for their great hospitality and service especially as a woman who customized a private trip alone to Senegal from The Gambia by road. Both the driver Abdulie and guide Pa makan were very respectful, flexible, friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming and took good care of my safety. They both made sure i had a great time and that i was satisfied with everything that i wanted to see and do. I enjoyed listening to all the historical and geographical knowledge Pa makan had to share and i learnt a lot from his life experiences. Our vacation was great! Senegambia hotel was very good, the food was great and the weather was great. All of the transfers and vouchers were no problem at all. The trip was absolutely seamless. All Gambia Tours services were excellent as well. I would recommend your services to anyone. Hope to return someday, perhaps when something special is offered. Thanks again for your help.
